Suchoi SU-27 UB / Su-30

CARF-Models SU-27 UB. Only slight modifications let you create the even more impressive SU-30. Production is underway, first kits to be delivered in early 2015.

All parts are composite, fully detailed, painted in the molds and fully functional in all scale aspects. Leading edge slats, flaps and speed brake door are readily hinged. The canopy frame is installed and movable. All control surfaces are attached, control horns are installed, linkages and servo mounts present their all new, all composite, giant scale are prepared, gear mounts are ready for the gear to drop in. Accessories are available such as a pair of Kevlar fuel cells, a scale landing gear with wheels/brakes, complete pneumatic packs and an impressive scale cockpit.

Product Update

The production of the CARF-Models SU-27 prototypes is well underway but we have to admit delays. Unfortunately we misjudged the complexity of building this kit on the same level as our other high end scale jets, such as the big Hawk or Albatros. And after realizing how good this aircraft could be, if just done right, we decided not to compromise it in any way. We want it to be the best SU-27/30 out there and this required some rethinking in our approach.

Not only the airframe, but also the landing gear proved to create a lot of challenges for us. Finally we have worked it out with a very skilled partner, but again, the produced prototypes must first show that the gear is strong enough and that it is work reliably. We have both SU-27 and SU-30 versions worked out.

Therfore, we need to pause our marketing activities at a point where we are now building and test flying two prototypes.

We expect that during summer 2015 we will have all our facts together so that a successful serial production of this marvellous twin engine scale jet can commence. Then, and only then, we can guarantee an outstanding product, which will carry the "CARF-Models" with pride.

We apologize for any inconvenience this delay has caused for the ones who have a CARF-Models SU-27/30 on order or are planning to order one in the near future. All the wait will be worth while, this is the promise we can give.

The two schemes we will put on our two prototypes are pictured on this page. The grey SU-30 will be painted on a silver base model, whereas the white/red/blue aircraft has been painted in the molds. Both prototypes will also demonstrate the various fin designs and prove their aerodynamical functionality, as these different versions will all be available for you in due course.
